Weedi - A Playtech Company
At Weedi, we, as a team were responsible for creating cutting edge virtual sport games for the online gaming giant 'Playtech'. Using motion captured data from professional athletes on site at Leavesden studios, we would compile a library of events for each sport. This mo-cap data would then need cleaning up, adding to a digital stage and inserting fully animated elements to create final sequences. These sequences would be picked at random using RNG's and other programming in order to compile full 3 minute sporting events that customers could place bets on.
My role within the company started as a 3D artist, progressing to Animation Team Lead.
Virtual Tennis
As an animator on this production I was responsible for cleaning up motion captured data on over 200 events, adding fully animated assets such as the rackets and ball, as well as animating the camera to create dynamic realistic game play.
Virtual Basketball
As Animation Team Lead on Basketball I was responsible for overseeing the creation of the motion captured data at Leavesden studios. I also created pipeline tools to help the mo-cap clean up process for the animators. However the core role of the job was assigning events to each animator, directing their camera and animation choices and approving their shots for render.
Animation Test - Trot
An animation test for a horse trotting animation that could be looped and used in UE5. Animated, textured, lit, rendered and composited by myself.
